Chegg Tutors – might be the most flexible and accessible tutoring platform for Kenyan graduatess who want to work from home in a tutoring position.
No prior experience is needed, but you must be currently enrolled in a university by submitting your student ID card; or prove that you are a university graduate by submitting copies of your degree certificate.
Tutorvista – This is an International Online Tutor platform that is open for Kenyan nationals with prior experience and at least a Master.
Core subjects that are taught at Tutorvista include English, Math, Chemistry, Biology and many others.
Skooli – Skooli accepts applicant worldwide as long as they have at least a Master’s degree or ESL qualification or other language qualifications. No prior experience is needed to be assigned a tutoring role.
Yup – This is another one of those online tutoring platforms that does not require a college degree or prior experience among tutors.
Core subjects include math, chemistry, and physics.
You however have to pass Yup’s skills tests on the above subjects before you start tutoring.
Aim4A – Open for tutors worldwide. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and prior teaching or tutoring experience is mandatory.
Teacheron – With this platform, you simply create a tutor profile and students will select you based on need. Alternatively, you can respond to tutor jobs posted on the platform.
TutorMe – To be enrolled as a tutor, you must be currently enrolled in or have graduated from an accredited university, have prior tutoring or teaching experience, and a good mastery of your specialization subjects.
MathElf –Are you a math nerd at least two years of math teaching or tutoring experience? Then you could well be on your way to making money tutoring online on the MathEIf platform.
The only investment you will need is an iPad where you will deliver all your tutoring lessons.
Virtual Assisting (VA)
Although virtual assistant jobs in Kenya are still a novelty, it is slowly picking up.
LifeBushido – This company hires people from around the world to work part-time from home helping LifeBushido’s clients.
As a Kenyan, if hired, you will be paid $2.50 per hour and you have to work a minimum of 5 hours a week. Current job openings include: customer service callers, real estate closing assistants, marketing assistants, and leaders (whatever that means).

Transcription is currently one of the most work-at-home jobs in Kenya.
There even is a Facebook Group for transcriptionists in Kenya.

TranscribeMe – This company hires transcriptionists around the world offering freelance transcription roles for transcriptionists from Kenya. Once you complete registration, and pass the English skills exam, you’re good to go. They pay via PayPal.
Scribie –Transcriptionists need pass a skills test before being given access to transcription projects to choose from. Upon submitting your online application, you’re put on a waitlist for the skills test. Scribie hires transcriptionists globally including from Kenya.
TranscribeEverywhere-Another widely recognized company that hires transcriptionists globally including from Kenya.
Internet Assessment
This work from home position involved evaluating social media results following stipulated guidelines.
No technical skills needed to perform in this role other than that you must be active on social media be eligible.
At application, you will be asked for your social media handles and to also indicated number of followers on Twitter/Instagram and friends on Facebook; as well how often you post on the platforms.
Before being hired, you will also need to pass a qualifying exam.
