This week on Monday, one of my long term friends was celebrating his birthday. Since I didn’t want to spam his Facebook wall, I decided to text and wish him a blessed day. His response struck me:
Thanks Eva for the wishes. A year wiser but I still haven’t fulfilled my dreams of travelling like I’d have wished….
Me being me, I didn’t mince my words. I texted my friend back:
Life is short… and we only have one life to live. But if lived well, once is enough… Word! But it’s never too late.
While I must admit that the economy is tight and all, with a little saving and sacrifices here and there, one can explore our beautiful earth. And who said you must cross borders to find beauty?
