4. British Columbia (BC)

5. Ontario

To teach in Ontario’s publicly funded schools, a teacher must be certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. Certified teachers pay an annual membership fee to maintain their membership and certification.

6. Newfoundland & Labrador

Every teacher employed in the primary/elementary/secondary schools of Newfoundland & Labrador province is required by law to hold a valid Newfoundland and Labrador teaching certificate.

Internationally Educated Teachers can apply for certification in Newfoundland and Labrador but they must hold a Canadian Work Permit.
