Express Entry

  1. have relevant experience
    • the regulatory definition of a self-employed author or writer means that your experience as a writer is considered relevant if you have at least two years of experience.It must be during the period starting 5 years before the day you apply and ending on the day IRCC makes a decision on your application.

      2. 2 one-year periods participating at a world-class level in writing activities, or

  • Provide as many documents as possible as proof of self-employment in your current country of residence. For example, certificate of registration, incorporation, certificate of good conduct, business financial statements, tax returns, audit reports, business licenses, invoices, receipts, service contracts, portfolio of works, reference letters from clients, industry leaders, and peers, etc.
