Nabuyole falls

Nabuyole falls is one of the largest water falls found in Western Region of Kenya and a popular spot among the visitors who describe it as “wondrous and beautiful”.

Originally it was known as Broderick Falls and sometimes known as Webuye Falls,based in Bungoma County.

Mwibale Wa Mwanja in Kanduyi Constituency 

Mwibale is a 100% Rocky hill covering an area the size of 5 football fields.

It has a natural swimming pool on the side and boasts of a number of caves.

From its tip you get to see an aerial view of Bungoma town below.

Lorio Rocks/Hills or Amachina/Tsingulu

Hot to get to Lorio Rocks from Nairobi:

Take a bus or flight from Nairobi to Kitale.

From Kitale, take matatus to Bungoma that pass through Kimilili/Bokoli.

Alight at Sikata , ask any boda boda (motorbike) guy  to take you Lorio hills – costs about 50 KShs.

Kitum Cave

Kitum Cave, in Mount Elgon National Park, Kenya, became famous in the 1980s when two European visitors contracted Marburg virus while visiting the caves.

It is one of five named “elephant caves” of Mount Elgon where animals, including elephants, “mine” the rock for its sodium-rich salts.

Kabuchai hills

The scenic views at Kabuchai hills are to die for.

They are the biggest in the region covering thousands of acres from Nangwe to Marakaru.

How to get to Sarasa Cottages and Campsite Bungoma

From Nairobi by road

  • Self-drive- Take the turn at Sikata just before Kanduyi on the Eldoret-Malaba highway. Head towards Kimilili town. Sarasa Cottages and Campsite is a right turn just a few kilometers on the road to Kimilili.
