Maji Moto Hot Springs

A series of tiny hot springs that ooze from the ground beneath on a seasonal riverbed. The water is naturally heated to a temperature of between 36-38 degrees centigrade.

The spring water squeezes itself into clear pools just deep enough that you can see right to the bottom.

Netbon Kudu Campsite

Kudu campsite is situated 83 Kms North of Nakuru town and just 5Kms West of L.Bogoria hot springs.

To access the camp, turn off to the right just before Mogotio Shopping Centre on the Nakuru-Baringo Highway to access Emsos and Maji Moto gate. It is along a dusty and rocky rough road.

Camping: Ksh500 (residents) Ksh1000 (non-residents).

There are a several tents for hire and meals can be arranged.

Lake Bogoria National Reserve

Lake Bogoria is located a short 10 minute drive from Maji Moto village.

Lake Bogoria lies on the Siracho escarpment and is the deepest alkaline lake in Kenya with numerous alkaline hot springs.

Enjoy the breath-taking scenery, flamingos, and egg boiling in the hot geysers

Lake Baringo National Reserve

Lake Baringo is one of the two freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley in Kenya, the other being Lake Naivasha.

The lake has over 470 species of birds, occasionally including migrating flamingos.

Cheploch Gorge

Chebloch is a 100-metre deep, crocodile-infested gorge located at the border of Elgeyo-Marakwet and Baringo  counties along the busy Iten-Kabarnet Road.

The Gorge is famous for its daredevil youth divers who who leap into the crocodile-infested waters making Chebloch a major tourism attraction in Baringo County.

Ol Kokwe Island

Ol Kokwe Island is located at the center of Lake Baringo South West of Korosi volcano

Baringo Museum and Reptile Park

The museum is open daily.

Species of snakes on display at the park include: the Black Mamba, Puff Adder, Boomslang and Spitting Cobra.

Other reptiles at the park include: Monitor Lizards, Crocodiles and a central pit shared by endangered tortoises and harmless Stripe Bellied Sand Snakes.
